The figures reflect the general conditions of DKV Famedic Profesional. Specific terms are set out in the particular conditions of each policy; we go through them with the client before contracting.
A policy built for people working for themselves
Famedic Professional is put together the same way as Famedic Plus, but assembled for the autónomo. It is outpatient insurance: consultations and prevention, without the operating theatre or hospitalisation. One premium can include up to eight people — the business owner and their family.
What is included
Consultations at “Plus” medical centres:
primary care — general medicine, paediatrics and nursing;
specialists — gynaecology with the annual check-up and cytology, ophthalmology, dermatology and traumatology;
walk-in general medicine — no appointment needed, during the centre’s opening hours, which for someone with an unpredictable schedule is often the most practical part of all.
Physiotherapy — the reason this policy is most often taken out
Up to 20 sessions a year for illnesses and recoverable injuries of the musculoskeletal system. With two conditions: the sessions belong to the main policyholder only — that is, the autónomo — and they must be prescribed by a traumatologist at a “Plus” centre.
For anyone who works with their hands, spends the day at the wheel or sitting at a desk, this is usually the most-used part of the policy.
What it does not include
This is not full health insurance. The operating theatre, hospitalisation and complex cases fall outside the policy. If the aim is to secure a private hospital and a complete course of treatment for a serious problem, a different product is needed — and that is worth being clear about before signing rather than after.
This is one of the modalities of the DKV Famedic range — the comparison with Famedic Plus is there.
Factuconta — what Famedic Plus does not have
The holder of a Profesional policy gets free access to the Ultimate plan of Factuconta by Contasimple. It is full accounting for the self-employed: invoicing, delivery notes and quotes, customer and supplier management, calculating and filing taxes — VAT, personal income tax, rentals, forms 100, 111, 115, 130, 303, 390 — automatic official ledgers, treasury, digital signature and export to Excel.
This is usually what justifies the price gap with Plus: accounting software of that level is a separate monthly bill.
