Full cover with a €300 excess

Motor GO! Todo Riesgo is the top modality of the range. To protection against others and against the elements it adds the essential thing missing below: repair of your own car when the fault is yours.

The €300 excess is what you pay on each own-damage claim. That is precisely what makes full cover affordable: without an excess the premium would be markedly higher.

What is added

Own damage. You hit a pillar, catch the gate, miss the kerb, scrape the side in a narrow street — the repair is covered less the excess.

Plus-level roadside assistance. The 200-kilometre limit disappears here: the tow truck takes you and the car wherever you need, not just to the nearest garage.

A replacement vehicle while yours is being repaired after a claim. For anyone who cannot work without a car, this is often the decisive argument.

Plus everything Ampliado already had: theft with new-for-old valuation in the first three years, fire, hail and animals, glass.

How to tell whether the extra cost is worth it

What matters is not the price difference but the probability. Own damage is the most frequent kind of claim there is. Parking scrapes, kerbs and garage gates happen to careful drivers just as often as to anyone else.

Todo Riesgo pays off if the car is new or expensive; if the licence is recent; if several people drive it; if you do a lot of city driving where parking is tight. And if losing the car for a week of repairs means losing income.

When it is unnecessary

If the car is old and its market value is low, full cover can cost disproportionately against what you stand to lose at worst. Then it is fairer to take Ampliado and put the difference aside.

We calculate both modalities and show you the figures side by side — the decision should rest on those, not on general phrases.

Where the policy applies

The territorial scope is not the same for every guarantee, and it is worth knowing before driving abroad.

Civil liability, legal defence, driver accident cover, glass, theft, own damage, total loss, fire, weather and animals apply across the European Economic Area and the states party to the international insurance guarantee conventions. The list appears on the International Insurance Certificate issued by the company.

Roadside assistance splits in two: for risks to the vehicle, Spain, the rest of Europe and the countries bordering the Mediterranean; for risks to people during a journey, worldwide.

Note this carefully. The legal protection within the defence guarantee is limited to events and proceedings in Spain. The licence-points allowance covers only penalties imposed in Spain. So an accident in France is covered, but this guarantee will not run a case before a French court.

What the policy never covers

Damage caused intentionally. Extraordinary risks, which are covered by the state Consorcio de Compensación de Seguros rather than the insurer.

Driving under the influence of alcohol or of drugs, narcotics or psychotropic substances: exceeding the legal blood and breath alcohol limits removes cover. The exclusion does not affect the owner where the driver is their employee and is not a habitual alcoholic or addict.

Driving by an unauthorised person, without a licence, or with a licence withdrawn or cancelled. Driving schools are an exception: a student at the wheel is covered when accompanied by, or under the supervision of, a legally authorised instructor.

Cases where the driver is convicted of failing to render assistance. Theft or improper use of the vehicle. And traffic offences where the offence itself was the determining cause of the accident.

Separately: races, competitions and preparatory trials, and incidents inside port and airport precincts for vehicles that habitually operate there, are excluded unless otherwise agreed.

Typical tasks that this policy solves

Auto
Comprehensive Insurance: Total Coverage for Any Vehicle Damage
You crash into a lamppost or barrier yourself and are at fault for the accident: Zurich Motor GO! Todo Riesgo covers the repair of your car, something no lower tariff does. The cover may also apply with an unidentified third party, for example when someone scratches the car in the parking lot and leaves, subject to the policy conditions (in some cases a police report is required). You can choose a variant with excess or without it.
Auto
Car Insurance Against Theft and Fire
Your car has been stolen from the parking lot or has caught fire: the tariff pays out the value of the vehicle and, in the first three years from registration, values it as new. In a total loss you receive full compensation without depreciation, which is key for a recent car with high residual value.
Auto
Car Glass Insurance: Repair and Replacement Solutions
A chip or crack on the windscreen from a stone is resolved with homologated glass and a warranty of up to 10 years. Filing a glass claim does not reduce your no-claims discount, and on modern cars with cameras and sensors the company also adjusts the ADAS systems after replacement.
Auto
Comprehensive Insurance: Total Coverage for Any Vehicle Damage
If you have caused harm to other people or to other vehicles, the compensation to the injured parties is taken on by the insurer. The tariff includes mandatory and voluntary civil liability with a limit of up to €120 million, protecting you from large claims and from financial catastrophe after a serious accident.
Auto
24/7 Roadside Assistance and Towing Services in Spain
The car has broken down, won't start or has had an accident: the technical team arrives within 60 minutes, or you receive €60 in compensation. Towing covers a radius of up to 200 km, and on-the-spot repair is available 24 hours across Spain. This assistance is included in the tariff at no added cost.
Agent's opinion Agent's opinion

I recommend Todo Riesgo in four cases: the car is new or expensive, the licence is recent, several people drive it, or the client cannot work without a car.

The main argument is not price but statistics. Own damage is the most frequent claim there is. A careful driver catches the kerb and the garage gate exactly as often as anyone else.

About the €300 excess I say it plainly and up front: on every claim that is your own fault, you pay that amount. It is precisely what keeps the premium reasonable. If someone wants no excess, we can price it, but the premium rises noticeably and it is worth thinking again.

And if the car is old, I am the one who talks people out of it: full cover will cost more than the vehicle itself is worth in the worst case. Ampliado is the fairer choice then.
